The Tile Shop asked ZōN Retail Environments to design custom end caps and in-line display areas that would be more effective at cross selling merchandise to increase sales orders. In addition, ZōN Retail was asked to resolve the challenge of promoting The Tile Shop private label brand and tile accessories.
With a multitude of product types and categories, we designed and built various containers to present the merchandise. Visual merchants were able to adjust the container type depending on the product dimensions and spacing. To help highlight the product, we added artistic lifestyle graphics and announced the products in a series of collections that could be found within the in-line isle areas. To help control the customers traffic pattern and flow, we added way-finding magnetic graphics. To showcase their private label accessories, we created custom slat wall gondolas that could withstand the weight of the various products. In the custom slat wall areas, we created product vignettes that promoted tile installation equipment, such as trowels, grout, tile cutters, and more, which boosted sales of those items, making our client a one-stop-shop for its customers.
From the changes our team implemented, The Tile Shop saw an increase in sales for their private label products (20% lift!) and with product more readily available due to the cross-merchandising, a lift in sales for lagging categories was also reported.
